The six month demolition of the prominent R&H Hall grain silos in Cork's South Docks has begun.
The famous silos were build between the mid-1930s and early 1950s, and used to store animal feed ingredients.
Householders and businesses in the area are warned that cars can no longer be parked on Furlong Street or the Marina Walk
The demolition is part of a €350 million euro plan to redevelop Cork Port which includes a new rehabilitation hospital, office blocks and apartments.
