A small fire - which was quickly contained - broke out at Stryker in Carrigtwohill early this morning.
RedFM News understands the fire was at The Springhill building around 7.30am and led to the evacuation of the building.
The fire service were not alerted as the fire was managed locally and no-one was injured in the incident.
This is the third fire at the East Cork facility in a month - one worker sustained serious burns in a titanium fire on the roof of one of the US med-tech companies buildings in Carrigtwohill last month and follows workers concerns about health and safety at the plant.
SIPTU has so far been unable to secure a meeting with management on workers concerns and the matter is to be raised in the Dail with the Tanaiste Micheal Martin this lunchtime.
