League of Ireland clubs Cabinteely and Bray Wanderers have announced their intention to merge.
They will amalgamate to form one club and will apply to participate in next season's First Division.
The new club will be based out of Bray's traditional home at the Carlisle Grounds and Pat Devlin will be the Director of Football.
An official name for the new club has yet to be confirmed.
