It’s a massive night for Cork City.

The Rebel Army could clinch the SSE Airtricity League 1st Division title and with it automatic promotion back to the Premier Division.

Should City beat Wexford at Turner’s Cross and Galway fail to pick up all three points against second from bottom side Athlone Town then they’ll win the title - City are six points clear of John Caulfield’s side with three games to go.

City boss Colin Healy will have to watch tonight's game from the stands as he serves the second of a three match ban.

Healy is aware of just how big a game it is, but says they can't afford to get carried away.

"It is a big game, the players know what to do. We're coming up a very good side, they've caused us problems when we've played them this year.

"It will be a difficult game, but the players know what to do. We're in a good position at the top, and we're looking for another good performance, and hopefully we get that."

City haven't played since losing to Galway three weeks ago, and Healy says they've done their best to manage the time off.

"It was obviously disappointing when we got beaten by Galway. We gave the players a few days off, we've trained, we've had a practice match between ourselves.

"It's not ideal, we know that, you want to be playing games every week. It's just unfortunate it was the international break, and then it was our turn to miss out on a game.

"We can't use that as an excuse. They've been training, we've had good training sessions and we're all ready to go.

"We still have a job to do. We still have three games left. We are in a good position, but we won't underestimate Wexford.

"We have to be focussed, we have to do our jobs, the players know that.

"We have standards to maintain and they know that. We'll go out there and we'll put on a good performance, hopefully we can get the three points, that's what we want from every home game."

Kick off tonight is at 7.45.
