The FAI has confirmed a joint expression of interest to host the 2028 European Championship with England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
UEFA are set to rubber stamp the bid, with no opposition from any other quarter expected.
The Irish Government has formally agreed to support the bid.
