Cork's Cathal Heffernan - the son of Olympians Rob and Marian has signed on loan for AC Milan until the end of season.
The Italian giants have the option to purchase the 16 year year old, with Cork City set to make a five figure sum should that happen.
The Republic of Ireland under 17 captain had been training with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, and also spent time at Juventus, Roma and Atalanta.
Heffernan signed professional forms with City last summer, making his first team debut against Galway United on the final day of the season.
