Cork's Jaze Kabia says making his Scottish Premiership debut was a huge moment, but it's only the beginning.
The former Cobh Ramblers winger made the switch to Livingston from Shelbourne, and it didn't take long for the 20 year old to make his debut for the Lions, with boss David Martindale springing Kabia from the bench for the 2-2 draw with champions Celtic.
It was certainly a debut to remember for Kabia at a snow covered Almondvale, who was unlucky not to score and was on the receiving end of flailing arm from Scott Brown that saw the Hoops' captain sent off.
Speaking to the Big Red Bench this week, Kabia says it's certainly a game he won't forget.
"Basically he had the ball and I went to press him", Kabia says with a laugh. "He's kinda going across the pitch and Calum McGregor is going the other way, and he's taken the ball off Brown. I've switched my run to go to Callum McGregor and he's swung his elbow at me and he's caught me on the nose, so it's a nice little one!
"Since I've gotten here, 90% of the time it's snowed. There's days when we've gone in to training when we've had to postpone training for an hour or two to get the contractors in to clear the pitches. Ireland's not the warmest place either so it wasn't the hardest, not like coming from Portugal or something and trying to adjust. But I'm enjoying it, I can't complain about anything right now..
"It has been a big step up, but I feel like I've settled into it nicely. Everything is a lot sharper, a lot quicker, more physically demanding. But I feel like I've settled in well, I fell up to the task. I need to keep training hard, keep my head down and keep improving, and see where that takes me."
