Paul Ince has been sacked as Reading boss.
The Royals are in the championship's relegation zone after losing 2-1 to Preston yesterday - they're a point from safety with five games to go.
Reading were also deducted six points last week for violating agreed budget restrictions.
Former Republic of Ireland international and Reading's under 21 manager Noel Hunt has been placed in charge on an interim basis until the end of the season.
Former Manchester United midfielder Ince took over at reading on an interim basis in February of last year, being given the job on a permanent basis that summer.
