Republic of Ireland boss Vera Pauw has praised Saoirse Noonan following the striker's call up to the squad.
The Cork City star, along with her Rebel Army team mate Eabha O'Mahony, were included in the 31 player panel for the European Championship qualifier with Germany on December 1st.
The squad will link up on November 22nd, and will then be trimmed down.
Noonan made headlines this week after her quick fire double saw City beat Treaty United 2-0 to book their place in the FAI Cup final, just a day after her tally of 1-2 helped the Cork footballers defeat Kerry.
Pauw says she's been impressed by Noonan and has been tracking her progress, and that the decision to bring the 21 year old into the squad was made before her headline making exploits at the weekend.
"She has been on our radar already for a long time of course, it's not that she had a good weekend and was then being selected. So she was already on the fringe, and we have been following her already for a while.
"She was already on the list for her performances before, but it's of course great when you put her on the list and you see how she performed this weekend - playing two sports, and being so natural and so clinical about it is amazing.
"When I was reading that she had her bag already ready on Thursday night because she knew she had another job to do on the Saturday, but that her bag was packed and ready to go for Sunday after training on Thursday - her planning is amazing, and that's probably why she's been so successful."
Another Cork striker who is on Pauw's radar is Clare Shine. The Glasgow City star has had a tough time off the field and went missing from her home in Scotland for a time during the summer, while Shine has been open about her battle with depression.
Shine was on the bench for Glasgow's Champions League win over Peamount United last week, and Pauw says she's delighted to see the former Cork City striker back enjoying her football.
"It's fantastic that she's playing again. Football gives her structure, her heart is in football completely, so it's so good to see her playing again and that she was on the bench against Peamount.
"I'm in close contact with her coach Scott Booth, she's doing well and she's getting playing minutes, she's getting there but we have to have a little bit of patience with her.
"But it's good to see she's picking up her life and that she's playing again."
