Cork City FC found out yesterday that they would be beginning their 2022 First Division campaign away to Bray Wanderers on the 18th of February.
In line with the SSE Airtricity Premier Division, the nine clubs will now play each other twice home and away.
The first league game of the year at Turner's Cross comes one week later against Galway United.
Cobh Ramblers also begin the season on the road, they will Travel to Longford Town on the 19th of February.
The first Cork derby of the year takes place at Turner's Cross on the 11th of March.
All SSE Airtricity First Division games will be available on LOITV next season with details of the service to be announced early in the new year. All fixtures are subject to clubs meeting the licensing criteria to participate in the League of Ireland.
The SSE Airtricity Premier Division 2022 season in the League of Ireland will kick-off on Friday, February 18 next with four rounds of fixtures across a 36-game calendar that will conclude on Friday, November 4.
This season there will be no fixtures during the international windows in March and September while Monday night fixtures will be played on February 28, March 14, April 18 and May 23. The season will conclude with the Extra.ie FAI Cup final on November 13.
Champions Shamrock Rovers will kick-off their defence of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division title at home to UCD with Extra.ie FAI Cup winners St Patrick’s Athletic away to promoted Shelbourne on the opening weekend. Finn Harps will host Drogheda United, Dundalk will entertain Derry City at Oriel Park and Sligo Rovers are at home to Bohemians in the remaining fixtures.
