Cork City picked up a point last night in an epic 4-4 draw with Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
City were 4-2 up with seven minutes to go, however the home side fought back to take a share of the spoils - Sean Hoare's goal in the 7th minute of time added on securing a draw.
"I knew Rovers would come at us", said City boss Colin Healy afterwards. "What happens is you sit back, and you invite pressure. They had a lot of set plays, a lot of set plays.
"Could we have defended better? You could say yeah. You're defending the lead, and with the quality they have, they're aggressive in the air and they showed that at the end."
Darragh Crowley scored a goal of the season contender, beating Alan Mannus from over 40 yards following a clearance from the Rovers keeper. Healy was full of praise for Crowley afterwards.
"He's been brilliant for us. He's come through the academy, played in the middle of the park today, played right back last week. He's one of those players that just goes in and does his job and gets on with it, and I thought he was probably the best player on the pitch tonight."
City now have four points from their opening four games, and Healy was asked for his assessment of their start to life back in the Premier Division.
"The first game against Bohs we weren't at it, probably better in the second half. Derry was always tough away, I think we had the chances in Derry we didn't take them. Against UCD we were very good, we could have gotten more goals, and tonight we should have won the game.
"Are we ready for this league? What you've seen there tonight, are we ready for it? Absolutely."
The game was delayed for a lengthy period at the end of the game for a head injury to Aaron Bolger - the City midfielder was involved in a clash of heads with Trevor Clarke.
The latest update from City is that Bolger was conscious and talking following the incident and was on his way to be assessed in hospital after the game.
