Some Irish consumers end up paying more than their British counterparts when buying from UK retailers.
A report from TheJournal.ie has found the difference could be as much as 100 euro.
Eddie Shanahan, a business product development consultant, says even in the EU, it can be pricey:
"Bear in mind of course that even under EU legislation, if you see it cheaper in Germany or France, you do have to pay the cross border delivery - which can be onerous".
