After more than 500 days of being closed South Doc Blackpool reopens today.
The facility is to reopen on the basis of reduced hours and reduced staffing levels.
The out of hours GP clinic has been closed since the start of the pandemic.
Cork North Central Solidarity TD Mick Barry is now calling for a debate about the future of out of hours GP services in the city.
"Congratulations are dude to the people of the Northside, who never accepted this closure and who ensured that there was continuing controversy over the doors being closed for so long.
"The fight will now go on for full opening hours and full staffing levels."
