Four-time Formula One World Drivers Champion Sebastian Vettel has announced he will retire at the end of the 2022 season.

The German became the youngest Grand Prix winner of all time when he won the Italian Grand Prix in 2008 for Toro Rosso, a feat since beaten by Max Verstappen.

Vettel became the youngest ever Drivers World Champion in 2010 at Red Bull, the first of four consecutive titles.

Sebastian Vettel would go on to become a Grand Prix winner at Ferrari between the years 2015-2020 however could not stop Lewis Hamilton's dominance.

In 2021 Vettel signed for Aston Martin where he claimed a podium finish in what has been a disappointing stint so far at the Silverstone based team.

With 9 races left in this years F1 Championship Sebastian Vettel has scored just 15 points.

However, the German is sure to go down as one of the most influential drivers in Formula One history.
