The Taoiseach says funds from yesterday's Apple tax ruling cannot be used for day-to-day spending.
In a statement last night Simon Harris said we must now carefully consider how best to use the funds for the Irish people and the country, and he looks forward to discussing that with government colleagues soon.
Finance Minister Jack Chambers says it will be "a number of months” before the State receives the billions of euro owed by Apple and it won’t have any impact on the upcoming budget.
