The Taoiseach says he’s taken a personal interest in the matter of water discolouration in the city.
People on the northside of the city have had brown dirty water coming from their taps for close to two years.
Uisce Eireann says it’s working to resolve the issue and has begun flushing works in the area.
Speaking to RedFM News, Taoiseach Simon Harris says the situation is being taken extremely seriously
"I'm absolutely determined as head of government to work with all government colleagues to support Uisce Eireann in addressing this water situation for people in Cork. I do think some of what I hear and certainly some of what I read in terms of notes that have been sent to me by Uisce Eireann and and others in recent days do give cause for hope. This has to be taken extremely seriously and it's been raised with me on many occasions in the Dáil and I'm taking a personal interest in it"
