The Taoiseach says people should have a 'sense of perspective' around the easing of Covid restrictions.
While it was announced yesterday that many businesses can reopen, there's confusion around how the likes of nightclubs, live venues and pubs can operate.
Talks will take place today to form new guidelines for the sectors.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin says keeping measures like covid certs in place is crucial to save lives.
"My main concern is to protect public health, and we need to get a sense of perspective into the debate.
"This morning there are 464 people in hospital. These are real people. We need to keep these numbers down.
"Unfortunately over the last two weeks the situation has gotten worse.
"That's the context in which we have announced a further, cautious, reopening of sectors of society."
