The Taoiseach is to visit Midleton this afternoon to see first hand the damage wreaked on Midleton during Storm Babet.
Flood waters that inundated the town yesterday have subsided and homes and business owners are beginning to survey the cost.
Around 30 patients at Midleton Community Hospital were evacuated, while two of the town’s large supermarkets suffered huge damage.
Gordon Reeves' wife Kay owns Cali clothing shop on the town's main street.
Gordon told RedFM News what happened to the store yesterday.
"It's what they'd call in America 'a flash flood'.
"When it got here it was bubbling up the toilet, it was pouring out the back into the yard.
"I came in this morning, as you can see it's a fairly heavy table, it was turned upside down, all the floor has floated up.
"I was up to my waist in water, and I'm 6'3"."
