8 new train stations have been announced in Cork as part of plans for the new Commuter Rail Network. The stations will be at Blackpool, Monard, Tivoli, Carrigtwohill West, Waterrock, Ballynoe, Blarney and Dunkettle.

A vigilante parking critic in Cork has started leaving cards on vehicles which have been parked badly. Labels started appearing in Crosshaven last weekend, criticising the car owners for parking illegally or on foot paths.
