Aer Lingus and the pilots union IALPA are being told 'urgency' is need to resolve their pay dispute. 244 flights have now been cancelled between and ongoing work-to-rule which begins on Wednesday, and a full work stoppage for 8 hours next Saturday.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to an assault in New Market which happened over three weeks ago. A teenage boy was arrested in relation to the incident on Saturday but has since been released. Anyone who was walking in the Island Wood area on the evening of the 6th of June and noticed any unusual activity is asked to contact Mallow Garda station.

The number of second-hand homes on the market has dropped by 18 percent in the last year. The latest Daft report shows just over 11,350 second-hand properties for sale, less than half the 2015-2019 average. The average cost of a home is now 364 thousand euro in Cork City and 309 thousand euro in the county.
