The Housing Minister has described the Planning and Development Bill as the "most significant reform of our planning laws in over a quarter of a century". The landmark legislation was passed by the Dáil last night - with 72 TDs voting in favour and 60 against.

Bus Eireann says the temporary reduction on four key city bus routes will bring surety to their service. Frequency is being reduced on four routes for a 12 week period from October 20th as 11 drivers are currently in training.

St Killian's Special School has welcomed the announcement of 40 thousand euro in funding for therapists from the HSE. It's after a year long campaign by parents and the school in Mayfield to restore therapists who will work with teachers and SNA's to facilitate children with learning differences.
