- DNA results from the skeletal remains discovered at a house in Youghal are expected to be known today. Officers investigating the murder of Tina Satchwell found the bones under the floor of a house in the town on Wednesday evening.

- The age limit for joining An Garda Síochána is to increase from 35 to 50 under changes to be announced today by Minister for Justice Helen McEntee and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.The entry age limit of 35 has been in place since 2004, when it was increased from 26.
