- Met Éireann says there will be poor visibility, difficult driving conditions and localised flooding today. A status orange rain warning is in place for Cork, Waterford and Kerry until 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
- Members of Tina Satchwell’s family attended a vigil in her home town yesterday evening. Up to 500 people gathered at the town park in Fermoy in North Cork to remember the life of the 45-year-old.
- Richard Satchwell, who's been charged with murdering his wife Tina, is due back in court today. Ms. Satchwell's remains were found at the couple's home in Youghal last week, following an extensive search by Gardaí - six years after she went missing
- The strike by health and community workers, due to begin today, has been called off. It follows crunch talks at the Workplace Relations Commission, which ended in the early hours of this morning.
