- Gardaí say they're continuing to investigate an arson attack that happened in Gurranabrauher yesterday evening. Emergency services were alerted to a blaze at around 5 o'clock when a petrol bomb was thrown into a home on Mount Nebo Avenue.
- New renters are paying 18% more each month than existing tenants. New data from the ESRI and the residential tenancies board shows new renters in Cork are paying around 1,300 euro a month.
- It's a cold, frosty start in many areas today and The Road Safety Authority's urging motorists to take extra care. Met Eireann's issued a yellow warning for cold temperatures for Cork for 6 o'clock this evening and is due to remain in place until midday tomorrow
- The RNLI rescued a dog who was stranded on a sandbank in Courtmacsherry yesterday evening. Bonnie the Sheepdog got into difficulties off Burren Rock in Courtmacsherry Bay and was in grave danger of being washed away in a strong running tide.
