Almost 21,000 homes and businesses in East Cork are under a boil water notice this morning.
The notice from Uisce Eireann began at midnight and comes about because of a dispute between trade union Unite and seven local authorities.
The notice affects customers of the Glashaboy Public Water Treatment Plant, in Glanmire, Glounthaune, Little Island, Carrigtwohill, parts of Midleton - and the surrounding areas, but not Cobh.
Water must be boiled for drinking, prepartion of salads and similar foods which are not cooked prior to eating, brushing teeth and making ice.

The Local Government Management Agency is accusing the Unite Trade Union of being disingenuous in a dispute over the status of employees with Uisce Eireann.
Unite wants its members to retain their public service status in the event of transferring to Uisce Eireann it's also seeking clarity on age thresholds for redundancy packages.
Industrial action will take place at a number of County Council locations across the Country today.

Skin Cancer is Ireland's most common cancer.

Sinead O'Connor's body has been released to her family for burial following an autopsy.
The conclusion of the autopsy will be made public, if an inquest is being held, according to a statement from the senior coroner Andrew Harris at the London Inner South district court
The music legend passed away suddenly at her home in south-east London on the 26th of July at the age of 56.
