Two people are being held by Gardai on suspicion of murdering the infant at the centre of the Kerry Babies case.

Baby John was found dead on White Strand in Cahersiveen in Co. Kerry in April 1984, he'd been stabbed 28 times.

A man in his 60's and a woman in her 50's were arrested last night and are being questioned at separate Garda stations in Munster.

The society is aiming to raise €4m to support its vital free services.
