The bodies of three people have been discovered at a home near Lixnaw in north Kerry.
Gardai in Listowel attended the scene last night, where the body of a woman in her 60s and man in his 20s were found inside a house with gunshot wounds.
The third body, a man in his 60s was discovered at the back of the house, also with gunshot wounds.
A firearm was recovered at the scene and Gardai are not looking for any other person relating to the incident.
The State Pathologist and the Garda Technical Bureau have been contacted and the scene is being preserved.
