Traders in Bantry are calling for urgent action to protect the town from flooding.
It was the worst hit area during the orange rain warning on Saturday and over 40 homes and businesses suffered damage.
The latest flooding had led to calls for the Council to offer a rates waiver for impacted businesses.
Jessie Hegarty runs a Mace supermarket and a clothing shop in the town and told the Neil Prendeville Show that his business was not hit as hard as others in the town:
"We got off lightly. We got hit, of course, but we got off lightly compared to our neighbors. Unfortunately, they got destroyed all together, and we would have got it would have been a lot worse, only for the lads in the fire brigade did a powerful job. They got the pumps in as fast as they could, and took the pressure off the system straight away. But the damage is incredible. Of course there were sandbags out around the place. But sandbags are no defense for this kind of carry on. "
