Everything you need to know about tonight's Brit Awards

The 2021 Brit Awards take place tonight and will be available to Irish viewers on Virgin Media Two at 8 pm.

Coldplay will open proceedings with a performance of their new single Higher Power from a pontoon on the River Thames. Joining them is Arlo Parks, Dua Lipa, Griff, Headie One, Olivia Rodrigo and Rag'n'Bone Man and Pink with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir who will also perform during the live show.This year’s Rising Star Award winner, Griff, is also set to perform.

Taylor Swift will be celebrated with the global icon Brit Award, becoming the first female artist to win the prize.

She is being recognised for "her immense impact on music across the world and incredible repertoire and achievements to date", according to organisers.
