The line up for the first episode of the new season of The Late Late Show has been announced.
Joining Ryan Tubridy will be Ireland's Olympic heroes. Medal winners Kellie Harrington, Paul O'Donovan, Fintan McCarthy, Aidan Walsh, Afric Keogh, Eimear Lambe, Fiona Murtagh and Emily Hegarty will be letting us in on their Tokyo Olympics experiences and what they've been up to since arriving home to Ireland with their respective medals in hand.
Also on the show will be Pierre-Louis Baudey-Vignaud, the son of Sophie Toscan du Plantier who was murdered in West Cork in 1996. Pierre Louis will speak about the impact his mother's brutal death had on his life and why he still returns to the house where she was killed.
Singer Boy George will be live in-studio to speak to Ryan about his strong connection to Ireland as well as his music career, including his days in Culture Club.
Dublin band The Script will be providing music on the night, performing their newest single "I Want It All" taken from their upcoming greatest hits album "Tales From The Script".
The Late Late Show will also host a special musical tribute to the late Dolores O'Riordan. On what would be her 50th birthday, Dolores' mother Eileen will be on the show to remember her daughter and her great talent. Joining Eileen in the tribute will be Fergal Lawler of The Cranberries who will share stories from life on the road and in the studio with Dolores.
Ryan will also hear from Kerry man Donie O'Sullivan who will be speaking about his experiences in America and the stories he has covered during his time working as a correspondent for CNN.
The first show of the season will also see a small audience return to the studio after 18 months.
The Late Late Show returns this Friday at 9:35pm on RTE One.
