An ITV spokesperson has said there are "no current plans" for the return of The X Factor.
The reality show that discovered stars such as One Direction, Little Mix, Leona Lewis and Olly Murs hasn't been on the air since 2018 when Dalton Harris was crowned the winner of the most recent series.
First airing in 2004, the show also had spin off series of X Factor: Celebrity and X Factor: The Band.
In a statement, ITV said, "There are no current plans for the next series of The X Factor at this stage."
In February of 2020, Simon Cowell said he was resting the show for the year.
