Uisce Éireann say they are working to restore the water supply to impacted customers in the city following a significant burst to a water main.
The current estimated restoration time is 8.35pm tonight but it may be a couple of hours for normal supply to return to all customers.
Areas potentially impacted include South Mall, Grand Parade, Morrison’s Island, South Terrace, Parliament Bridge, Rutland Square, Douglas Street and surrounding areas.
