Today marks 230 years since Cork’s iconic English Market opened on August 1st 1788. Ciara Revins visited the market to meet with some of the longest standing traders to hear their stories.

Neil spoke to cyclist Dylan who was on a spin last week near Kanturk. A truck driver beeped him and then tried to ram him off the road twice.

Veronica contacted 17 nursing homes yesterday to get respite for her partner (55) who had a stroke 21 months ago. She feels there is no help for anyone under 65 who has a stroke. She has lost all hope and is worried about her own health now.

We spoke to young mum Shannon (20) whose house was ransacked by robbers in Mitchelstown last week. They egged the house, sprayed washing up liquid everywhere, turned on the taps to flood the place and destroyed the house!

We've been contacted by a number of Cork listeners who have been left stranded in London and Salou in recent days as a result of late Ryanair cancellations. Paul told Neil about his mammoth journey home from London after Ryanair cancelled their flight. Below is their nightmare trip home!
