Bus Éireann say severe traffic congestion in the city centre is delaying some buses by up to half an hour.
In a statement issued to RedFM News, the company say it usually takes a bus three minutes to travel between Patrick Street and MacCurtain Street, however it has regularly taken up to 30 minutes over the past six weeks..
The reliability of the service has also suffered in other areas of the city depending on the time of the day, according to the statement.
Bus Éireann say they carry out daily punctuality reviews and amend services to try to keep up with scheduled departure times which in turn can inconvenience some passengers.
