22 flights in and out of the airport were cancelled after a problem with the UK Air Traffic Control System had a knock-on effect on flights throughout Europe.
Cork Airport were forced to keep food and drink outlets open all night for crowds who waited in the terminal overnight until the issue was resolved and flights went out.
Flights to Amsterdam were cancelled earlier this morning but management at Cork Airport say a full schedule has now resumed but passengers should contact their airline if they have concerns about departing flights.
Speaking to RedFM News, Niall McCarthy from Cork Airport says flights in and out of Cork are operating as normal
"Delays and knock-on's normally happen when people are booked on the next succeeding flight, then if that's full they are booked on the one straight after that. And then after a while airlines will bring in extra aircraft and crews where they can get them, so by tonight largely, any impact in terms of Ireland will be fully resolved"
