Strokestown GAA club received contact from the HSE in the past number of days due to high levels of Covid transmission among the town's minor teams.

Many schools are still waiting to receive their CO2 monitors just days ahead of the return to class.
The devices are set to be given to schools across the country in a bid to ensure quality airflow and ventilation in classrooms.
The Delta Covid wave is not expected to peak until next month, according to Taoiseach Micheal Martin, with daily case numbers recently hitting a 7 month high.

The Events Industry Alliance says the government needs to show the industry the respect it deserves.
Gardaí were forced to ask a number of pubs near Croke Park to close yesterday after hundreds gathered outside following the All Ireland Hurling Final.
The Events Industry is unhappy the Taoiseach attended the match, claiming it was a blatant disregard for the live entertainment and event sector.
The organisation's Justin Green is calling on the Taoiseach, Tanaiste and Health Minister to attend this week's 'Live Events Sector' meeting.

Another nine Covid-19 deaths have been reported in Northern Ireland.
The region's Department of Health has now reported 60 virus-related deaths over the past week.
1,320 new cases have also been confirmed today.
352 Covid patients are in hospital in the North, with 43 in intensive care.

Gardaí are making inquiries into a licensed premises near Croke Park for alleged breaches of Covid-19 regulations as people gathered for yesterday's All-Ireland hurling final.
Inspections were carried out at a number of pubs in the area and they were asked to close in the interest of public safety.
The entertainment industry has been angered by the scenes which saw hundreds of people gathered outside drinking and singing.
