Remember Taxi Driver John Constant who was assaulted while bringing 6 men to Glounthane in March? He has recently found out that there will be no prosecution for the attack in which his nose was broken. His attacker, aged 24, got an 'adult caution'. Jim's son Jason is lucky to be alive this morning after an assault last night. He was on a motorbike heading towards Mayfield Garda station at 7.25pm when a blue fiesta coming towards him had a passenger hung out the window with a Hurley and hit him off the motorbike. The attack was vicious and unprovoked. He was hospitalised for a dislocated shoulder and his father says they could have taken his head off and says it was attempted murder. Michael also speaks to Neil, he suffers from the same illness as Lynda who we spoke to yesterday. He dropped to 8 stone, was suicidal and in constant pain until he got a liver donation from a Cork donor. He is urging people to carry donor cards.
