Efforts by the Irish government aimed at find a way through the political deadlock around the Northern Ireland Protocol have failed to make progress.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs said he has "made clear" to British foreign secretary Liz Truss, following their meeting yesterday that the Government opposes the UK breaching international law.
The Taoiseach met with Northern Ireland party leaders.
The DUP leader left him in no doubt that the Northern Ireland protocol has to go.
Michael Martin said while he accepted that there were legitimate concerns he believed that they could be overcome.
