A father and son have denied starting a huge California wildfire earlier this year.
66-year-old David Scott Smith and his son, 32-year-old Travis Shane Smith, are accused of "reckless arson" which destroyed a large number of homes.
Local prosecutors in the county of El Dorado say both men have pled not guilty to charges of reckless arson and firearms charges.
Tens of thousands were forced to flee their properties, five people were also injured in the fire in Caldor in August.
