Government proposals on working from home are set to be overhauled.
It's expected employees' rights to request remote working will be strengthened.
A worker's right to appeal the decision to the Workplace Relations Commission is also likely to be enhanced.
Maeve Mc Elwee from employer's body IBEC doesn't believe a one-size-fits-all approach is the best way of dealing with the issue:
"It's going to be a 'test and perfect' period when we say, actually it doesn't even work at an organisational level, it's coming down to team levels, so for the government trying to introduce a single piece of legislation that's going to be put in force in every organisation is very, very challenging".
