The lack of supports for the haulage industry is forcing many businesses to park up their trucks, which in turn will have a knock impact on the supply chain.
That's according to Roy Kearney of Little Island Haulage who says the price of diesel is having a severe impact on the industry.
Hauliers are currently being given €100 per week per truck by the government but the industry says the move is not enough.
Speaking to RedFM News, Roy Kearney it's an unsustainable business at this moment and with people parking up their trucks because they cannot afford to keep working, shops and other businesses will be impacted by the pressure.
