Officials in India are planning to drill a new "vertical hole" to rescue workers stuck in a highway tunnel.
The 40 construction staff have been trapped for the last eight days, following a landslide in the northern state of Uttarakhand, which caused part of the tunnel to collapse.
Over 200 disaster relief personnel have been working on the site to help those trapped.
There were initial concerns that drilling would cause more debris to fall, however, rescuers believing drilling vertically could reduce the risk.
