Management at Dublin Airport and the Minister of State for Transport will meet today over the ongoing staffing crisis at the airport.

Meanwhile Ryanair's called for an emergency meeting involving all stakeholders to tackle long queues.

The airline says passengers can't endure more weekends where thousands of customers suffer delays, causing many to miss their flights.

Ryanair has called for 200 members of the army to be brought in to deal with long queues at Dublin Airport.

Michael O’Leary says last weekend’s chaotic scenes can’t be allowed to continue.

Graeme McQueen, media relations manager at the DAA, says it's taking passengers around an hour to get through security:

"So far today, on Friday morning, things were busy and but we were getting people through. Things are taking longer than what we would like them to. Ideally, anyone who has to take a flight over the coming days, get to the airport nice and early, give yourself lots of times. We recommend up to three and a half hours minimum. If you're parking a car, probably allow another 30 minutes on top of that."
