A new lifeboat at Courtmacsherry RNLI is to be officially named this Saturday.
The Guest of Honour will be Val Adnams, who is travelling from her home in America, especially for the event - she is the main donor for the new Shannon class lifeboat and it will be named in her honour.
Sylvia Anne Walker and Petrina Johnson also contributed to buying the boat.
It's the eleventh lifeboat to be stationed in Courtmacsherry since the arrival of the 'The Plenty' in 1825.
The naming ceremony takes place at the historic lifeboat station this Saturday afternoon at quarter to 2.
