Parents are being advised of potential safety issues with 'Baby Nests' and 'Baby Sleeping Bags'.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has issued guidance on the potential dangers of the popular products.
It says over 4,500 baby nests and baby sleeping bags have been recalled here between 2020 and 2021.
After an EU wide study some of the products were found to pose risk of suffocation, strangulation or choking, while the baby nests or 'pods' are also not recommended for unsupervised use.
Anyone with the products is advised to check ccpc.ie to check if the product they're using is among those which have been recalled.
