Several popular restaurants in the city centre are to shut permanently following an announcement by their parent group.
The Dublin-based PressUp Group say they closed the businesses due to "difficult trading conditions".
Captain Americans, Queen of Rebels bar and Rice Chinese on South Main Street are to close permanently.
In a statement to RedFM News, parent Group PressUp says that it was "is with heavy hearts" that they were forced to close the businesses following "difficult trading conditions which made the business unviable".
The statement goes on to thank their customers and staff.
The building has been closed since July- the company said at the time that it was due to maintenance issues.
Wow Burger is also part of the business on South Main street, however it’s unclear at this stage if the business will ever reopen
PressUp employs around 1,500 people in Ireland and operate over 40 venues including The Dean Hotel in the city.
The closures come at a time when many businesses are being forced to raise their prices due to large hikes in the cost of energy and raw materials.
Popular chipper Lennox’s on Bandon road announced they were being forced to increase their prices this week, while the manager of the Celtic Ross Hotel Neil Grant told RedFM News that their July electricity bill has increased almost €10,000 to over €18,000 this year compared to last year.
