Two men were remanded in custody yesterday evening after they were charged with a mugging where a 93-year-old woman was knocked and dragged along the ground and robbed after she collected her pension.

Damian Fitzgerald from Inniscarra Road, Fairhill in Cork and Damian Long of no fixed abode but formerly of Ardbhaile, Mayfield in Cork were both charged by Gardai with robbery of the pensioner on Wellington Road on the north side of the city.
