The US has halved the recommended isolation period for Americans who test positive for Covid-19 - but have no symptoms - from 10 to five days.

The update from health officials is not mandatory - but it usually sets policy for states and businesses.

If people with coronavirus leave isolation early, they need to wear a mask everywhere - including at home around others - for another five days.
