Cork Lion's Club usually run the event to raise funds to install defibrillators in the city centre however this year they will use the event to raise money for the Lions International Fund for Ukrainian Refugees.
Lions Clubs in Poland and Romania are providing care packs to refugees arriving from Ukraine and clubs across the world are contributing to the fund to support the work.
12,000 numbered plastic balls will race down Patrick's Hill on Sunday the 20th of March at 2pm.
