Walk-outs were held at various locations at UCC and MTU at 11:11am.
Students say they have been priced out of private and purpose built student accommodation, while the UCC Students Union say they have been contacted by several students who have had to defer their course due to cost.
Hundreds of UCC students walked out of their lectures at Brookfield and the Western Gateway Building today.
